One of the ways the Ho-Chunk Nation tries to strengthen its relationship with Wisconsinites is to open the doors to its many business ventures to give the public an inside look at the Ho-Chunk people.
This month, the Nation is hosting a group of Japanese nursing students to learn about the Ho-Chunk diabetes programs and tour its many medical facilities.
Anne Thundercloud, spokeswoman for the Nation says educating the public about the Ho-Chunk businesses and culture is a win-win.
"The Ho-Chunk Nation provides tours to each of our facilities including our bison ranch, and any of the properties we own," said Anne. "We do a lot of cultural tours and we do this year round and we find that people really enjoy learning about our culture and our government."
